We are extremely excited to welcome you to the Science and Technology Park of Montenegro, a creative hub in the heart of Podgorica’s business district that provides an inspiring environment for young innovators from all over the world to gather.

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro will be more than just a venue – it will be the center of action, a place where talent, visions, and solutions for a better future meet.

Travel Note: All participants are responsible for organizing their own travel to Podgorica. To help you plan your trip with ease, we have prepared several useful tips – be sure to check them out before booking!

Arrival by Flight

Podgorica Airport (TGD) is the main airport in Montenegro, located just 20 minutes away from the city center. There are several options for reaching your hotel:

🚖 Taxi Service (Recommended): The simplest and fastest way to reach your hotel is by using the taxi services available directly in front of the airport building. These taxis exclusively transport passengers from the airport to their desired locations. The fare to the city center ranges between €10 and €15.

🚌 Bus: The second option is the local bus, though it is less practical if you have luggage. The bus stop is located about a 20-minute walk from the airport building. The bus runs to the Main Bus Station, from where an additional 15-minute walk is required to reach the hotel. A one-way bus ticket costs €1.80.

💡 Important Note: Please keep in mind that services such as Uber or GoOpti shuttles are currently not available in Podgorica. We recommend using registered taxi vehicles.

Getting to the Venue: Science and Technology Park of Montenegro (STP)

The Science and Technology Park of Montenegro is located in the wider city center area, approximately 2 km from the hotels.

There are several options for reaching the location:

🚶 Walking: The walk from the hotel to the STP takes about 30 minutes. This is a great opportunity to see the modern part of the city (Preko Morače); the route is flat and easy to navigate.

🚌 City Bus: Bus stops are located directly in front of the hotels. You can use lines 55, 15/7, 16, 8/53, or 54B. You should get off at the stop near The Capital Plaza business center, followed by a 9-minute walk to the STP. A one-way bus ticket costs €0.90.

🚖 Taxi Transport: Taxi transport in Podgorica is very affordable and reliable. A ride from the hotel to the STP costs a maximum of €3.

Getting Around Podgorica

🚶 On Foot: Podgorica is a flat city, and the center is easy to explore on foot. You are staying in the city center , so most key institutions, restaurants, and parks are within walking distance. Walking is an excellent way to feel the local rhythm, especially in the evening when the promenades and parks are full of people.

🚌 By Bus: Public transport is currently undergoing modernization and covers all major city routes.

• Ticket price: A single ticket costs €0.90 and is valid for a 60-minute ride.
• Payment: You can buy a ticket directly from the driver (it is preferable to have small change) or use a digital payment system via an app if available for that specific line.
• Stops near STP: The nearest key stop is at The Capital Plaza center, from which it is a 9-minute light walk to the entrance of the Science and Technology Park.

🚖 Taxi Transport (The Most Practical Option): Unlike many European cities, taxis in Podgorica are extremely affordable and are used as a daily mode of transport.

Most rides within the city cost between €1.50 and €3.00. All companies are required to use a taximeter. We recommend using apps (Tesla Go or Naš Taksi) as they allow vehicle tracking and provide a predefined price.

Cultural & Historic Landmarks

• The Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ: One of the most impressive architectural landmarks in the city, known for its unique interior stone carvings. 
• Sahat Kula (Clock Tower) & Stara Varoš: The old Ottoman heart of the city, perfect for a walk through narrow streets that reflect the history of Podgorica. 
• The Millennium Bridge: The modern symbol of Podgorica, especially beautiful when lit up at night. 
• Gorica Hill: The “green lungs” of the city, perfect for a light hike, coffee at the top, or visiting the ancient Church of St. George.
• Njegošev Park & Sastavci (Skaline): The spot where the Ribnica and Morača rivers meet. It’s a popular local hangout with an old stone bridge.
• The Capital Plaza: A vibrant business and lifestyle center near the NTP, filled with premium cafes and restaurants. 
• Bokeška & Njegoševa Street: The center of Podgorica’s nightlife and coffee culture, where you can find the best pubs and local energy.

Accommodation

In order to get the full Summit experience, we recommend planning your arrival on November 24th and your departure on November 28th.

For all participants whose accommodation will be arranged and covered by SIA (such as SIA Hosts, Winners, Youth Council members, and Scholarship holders…), your stay will be organized at one of the following two hotels. Please note that accommodation is provided exclusively for the specified period (from November 24th to 28th).
