Travel to Novi Sad

Please keep in mind that all participants are in charge of making their travel arrangements to reach Novi Sad.

If you travel by airplane:

Check for international flights to Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG), Serbia’s main international airport.

Once you arrive in Belgrade, you have several options to reach Novi Sad that you can explore via this link.

We highly recommend traveling to Novi Sad by fast train from the Railway Station Beograd Centar. The travel lasts 36 minutes, and a one-way ticket costs 573 RSD (~5 EUR).

How to get from the airport to the Railway Station Beograd Centar?

When you arrive at the airport, right outside the exit, you will find a bus number 600 that goes directly to the Railway Station Beograd Centar. The bus leaves every 30 minutes, and the ride lasts for 30-40 minutes.

You can get the tickets for the fast train directly at the station, or you can download the app ‘Srbija Voz’ on your phone (from the Google Play store or iPhone App store). Tickets can also be bought inside the train for 700 RSD (~6 EUR), and payment is possible only with cash (in Serbian Dinars). The fast train leaves at 08:09, 09:00, 10:00, 11:00, 12:00, 13:00, 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 CET. Also, in between you can find a regional train which is cheaper (4 EUR), and travel to Novi Sad lasts for 56 minutes.

The currency in Serbia is the Serbian Dinar (RSD) – 1 EUR = 117 RSD. It’s advisable to have cash on hand, as not all places may accept card payments.

If you travel by bus:

The main bus station is located right next to the main railway station in Novi Sad. From there, you can easily access taxis, public transportation, or even walk to your hotel.

Accommodation is provided in two hotels, both are in the city center and very close to each other. You can expect an official email where you will find information about your assigned hotel in the following weeks.

Please note that check-in at the hotels is possible from 14:00 CET (local time) and the check-out is until 11:00 CET (local time) on your departure day.
